An Evening of Dickens for the Refugees

The Ghost of Christmas Present Andrew Welch    Andrew reading

Andrew has performed A Christmas Carol many, many times over the years to high acclaim, in both Canada and the U.S.  Locally, he directed the Theatre Orangeville Young Company for two seasons and he is the Official Town Crier for Caledon and Erin (and winner of the 2016 Ontario Town Crier Provinicial Championships).

In 2015, he devoted numerous performances to Syrian refugee families coming to Canada, and raised over $12,000.  This cause was very close to his heart - Andrew is a member of the Canadian Red Cross Disaster Management Team and played a significant role in the formal evaluation of Canada's Syrian refugee response last year.

Andrew is also a published author, and his recent book The Value Crisis is very popular with book clubs.  He lives in Alton, Ontario.
